Our Journey
As entrepreneurs and operators in multiple B2B technology industries, we know firsthand how difficult it is to manage and communicate complex product information. We relied heavily on product experts, and there’s never enough talent to meet growing demands.
In November 2022, as Generative AI gained traction, we saw an opportunity to harness its power to solve these challenges. We built a platform to be an AI-powered product expert and trained it using a million question-answer pairs. The initial results were promising, but too many responses were still inept.
Then GPT-4 came out in March 2023. We added detailed product documents and our proprietary cognitive architecture and BANG - we began delivering exceptional answers. Our platform was finally "ept." And we were convinced we could transform how B2B tech companies operate.
Although initial conversations focused on tech support, we knew our solution could do more. We were soon pulled into sales support, direct customer interactions, and even in-product contextual help—anywhere a product expert is needed. Early customers from industries like semiconductors, networking, IoT, and test and measurement, across both hardware and software sectors, presented unique challenges that helped us refine the platform to be easy to use, quick to deliver value, and constantly improving.
We closely followed our customers' needs. Tech support teams wanted answers integrated into ticketing systems, while sales teams needed CRM responses with a sales-oriented voice. Software companies challenged us to replace patches with seamless upgrades, and system companies brought product line disambiguation issues. We moved quickly with smaller enterprises seeking turnkey solutions and more methodically with multi-billion-dollar companies requiring secure, scalable platforms with custom features.
And yes, we use AI internally to scale just as fast as our customers do.
